  1. #3. Having a cheap corkscrew break is not the worst thing. It’s happened to me a couple of times.

    1. That's why I only buy wine in screw cap bottles. Besides the screw caps are real handy when you build up a terrible thirst while headed down R-95 at 80mph.

    2. Not a big wine drinker, but I read that even the more expensive wines are beginning to put twist on tops on their bottles. Seems like a very reasonable idea to me.

  2. I think it was here a few weeks ago that I saw the solution to #3. Light a BIC lighter to the bottle neck, that space between the top of the wine and the bottom of the cork.... the air expands and pops the cork right out. Brilliant!

    1. I had the same experience recently, I just used pliers to unscrew the remains and used my spare corkscrew to enjoy the wine. Now I must get a new spare.

    1. I don’t know about you guys, but when I did stupid shit growing up I was damn glad nobody had a camera. Now people take pictures of the stupid shit they do and post them for everyone to see.
