I have seen some stupid shit from aviators, hard landings, dynamic roll over, tree strike. But this here is beyond stupid. Both are at fault as the one on the ground was too close to center and the incoming AC had ample room to his right. Most of these screw ups are usually one of two reasons carelessness or fatigue. Fella on the ground is one lucky dude. Guess there was no fire as the video clip would of kept playing for the grand effect.
Not necessarily. But most definitely immediate drug tests. They'd be fortunate to keep their jobs. The long term aftermath is most employers will not hire for someone with pilot caused accidents. That's even after a FAA mandated checkride.
