#4 I was pumping hard crossing the town bridge on a JC Higgins. The peddle snapped off. I wrap my nuts around that cross bar proper like. I think the worst hit I ever took. I laid in the middle of the road thinking I was gonna die. Paralized man. The kid I was with stopped what little traffic there was until I could move.
#5 & #6 Pretty serious frame failures. #5 I have seen in a number of variations. The frame usually rusts between the cab and bed/cargo box as it will see a lot more water than the rest of the frame because of the rain water running down from the roof of the cab and bed/cargo box.
I can honestly say I have never seen a failure like the one in #6.
#8, the story of my life!

ReplyDelete#10 Sure is a testament to the quality of the masonry. Is that a sinkhole, or did the house get pushed in by a flood?

Yeah…#10 appears to be partially floating….???…It can’t be that airtight can it..??
ReplyDelete#8 Looks as though some knob parked his car there after clearly being told not to. So they just dug their hole around it.

1) Must be one of those racist bridges Buttigag talks about.
ReplyDeleteCould be but it looks more like one of those sexist bridges to me.
DeleteAnybody who has worn glasses since they were a kid, has had #2 happen, in many ways, a lot of times.
ReplyDelete#6 I was more amazed there’s still a T G & Y in existence.
