Good Morning

  1. Ha ha. I got a kitten that was feral and managed to tame her to me via food and pets; it took months of dedicated time with her. She dropped a litter of kittens in my garage some time later. The kittens are about at that stage of development and are just as cute as hell. Mama is my friend now and trusts me tremendously. It has been fun watching the little buggers develop.

    1. Get Mom spayed now, and the little ones fixed when they are old enough. It will keep them healthier, and your life simpler.

    2. Master Diver: will do. But the kittens are still nursing to enough of an extent that the vet said it would be inadvisable to do so. The kittens will be spayed and neutered as soon as they are physically capable. But they are still little balls of cuteness.

  2. I'm all about fixing critters. There are so many and not enough homes. One county I lived in had free Vet service and even a mobile unit. Most folks wouldn't take their pets. I did In Home for a few years. Saw homes full of cats that reeked. Dead cats under the bed or anywhere. When I'd ask why they didn't use the free service they would say, "Cuz I like kittens." Lots a packs of wild dogs in that county too for the same reason, Cuz I like puppys. I've seen dogs on short chains hooked to a tree or the lucky ones chained to a delpidated dog house of sorts. Makes me sad just remembering this.

    1. This is why we have shelters overflowing with cats and dogs. The people who talk and act this this way should be turned into Soylent Green cat and dog food.
