Jan. 6 defendant who beat officer with Trump flag sentenced to 46 months in prison
(The Hill) – A man who beat a Washington, D.C., police officer with a Trump flag during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack was sentenced to 46 months in prison on Friday.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Howard Richardson received the sentence after pleading guilty earlier in the year to assaulting, resisting or impeding officers.
Starker here, You mean to tell me a 72 year old man beat the crap out of a cop with a stick? And now he gets nearly 4 yrs in prison & 3 years probation? Seems a bit excessive to me. I'm not saying anything about the seasoned man just the wuss of a cop.
Show the video of him doing the deed, otherwise it's propaganda (aka, a lie), and maybe the guy copped a plea to get out of the CapHill dungeon. Oh, and does he get time served or is this additive? What a charade.
I agree. The prosecuting lawyers and judges are corrupt and should be disbarred or removed from bench. I would not believe one conviction without video. People are pleading guilty to just get on with their lives. Apparently this has not intimated conservatives enough and they went after Trump to show you no one is untouchable.
Why didn't his lawyer claim he was antifa or BLM? Then he would've been released after booking and charges quickly dropped.
