Mike Pence says he would consider testifying before House Jan. 6 committee if asked
MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Former Vice President Mike Pence indicated on Wednesday that he would consider testifying before the Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Pence, who drew the ire of former President Donald Trump’s supporters when he played a role in certifying the results of the 2020 election, which he and Trump lost, told a crowd that he would think about testifying if invited.
Go ahead and testify, Pence. You're already a pariah with many Conservatives. Might as well finish the job and join Cheney in the dustbin of political history.
I honestly don’t know what to think of Pence. On the one hand, he challenged Trump on the red flag law over how it flips due process on its head, but then didn’t challenge the cheating in the election. Did he let it go because of Trump’s desire for red flags?
When Pence was governor of Indiana he and the rest of the Republican leadership would fold like a cheap card table when they got any pressure on conservative issues. It seems clear where he stands.
Every time I listened to Pence speak while he was VP, I felt like he was lying, even when he was telling the truth or what I learned from other sources was true. Something about this guy just creeps me out. I guess insincere is the adjective I'm looking for. Stock in trade for a career politician.
Wobbly Mike.... Indiana gop legislature wanted to ban common core, Pence wobbled and caved. legislature wanted to ensure religous freedom to refuse lgbt blah harassment, Pence wobbled, Trump wanted to have the election verified, pence wobbled..... WHY would anyone trust Pence to stand strong against enemies foreign and domestic???? WOBBLY MIKE has shown his true character: weak, vacillating, unreliable.
