ReplyDeleteMuch discussion of this over at my favorite survivalist website, frugalsquirrels.com. While pretty much everybody is okay with the outcome, there is a lot of back and forth on the legalities, mostly on whether the owner was legitimately in fear for his life, did he continue to attack when the perp was retreating, and what would happen in different localities.
I don't have the ability to edit comments on this platform, but no, it doesn't bother me to have the link to another site in the comments.
DeleteAs far as the legalities go, I'm sure he's going to be or already has been charged. You can't legally shoot a person who's no longer a threat (at lest in every state I'm aware of) or retreating, so I doubt use of a knife would be any different.
I was highly amused when the would be robber ended up crying for help at the end of the video.

ReplyDeleteAt this point, I am all for opening the floodgates for Asians. They appear to be the only group of immigrants who are willing to defend themselves and their family, move up the socio-economic ladder and appear to be able to coexist in western civilization.
ReplyDeleteOnce the police stated clearly that they weren't going to deal with shoplifters any more, that seemed to me to be the go ahead for shop owners to deal with them instead. I would think that taking them into a back room and applying a paddling would probably work. You could then do a nice sideline selling S&M videos.
