#17 I had to look really hard to see if I recognized the gal. My folk's place has pear trees, and a red barn both the distance and direction in this pic. Not any of my nieces, though my ex SIL could put her fist in her mouth.
#1 I've seen similair faces like that way up in the Hollars. I was buying shine one day in a Holler and the family was outside. I saw a girl of maybe fourteen holding a baby. She and the baby were pretty strange looking. The girl had a dress of sorts on and her knees appeared to bend backwards. Like a chicken. I've never forgotten that. The whole family was strange looking but she stood out. To be clear, I went up there with a guy I worked with that was born and bred in this Hollar. These folks were his cousins. I came off that mountain with eight Donald Duck orange juice jars. Six were shine and two were elderberry wine. Damn that shit was good.
