#8 Yeah, out ran them on 2 strokes to start with (in the dirt), then graduated to bigger 4 strokes for on/off road enduro's. Though not since '81. Tree Mike
#8 or hid under a car for an hour while the homeowners chased my two other buddies shouting stop or I'll shoot. We amended it to stop or I'll shit, punks that we were. Didn't catch any of us. How I didn't get spotted I'll never know. The crime? Stealing Christmas lights from houses. Rural Missouri, December1969.
You may be lucky to be alive. My dad lived south of Jeff' City and didn't believe in warning shots. He was also good friends with the pig farmers a mile up the road. Glad you're still around!
#8 I didn't so much as run from them, it was more like raced them. Brand new 1972 Honda Elsinore 250 ran them in the dirt. Did the same thing many years later on a Honda Interceptor 1000, most killed myself that time.

ReplyDelete#8 was a regular pastime for me from '72-'74. Last time I did it, I was 34, but it was on a 4 stroke TransAlp.
