Oklahoma authorities have released wild dash and bodycam video that shows a handcuffed woman retrieving a police rifle and firing it out of the back of a patrol car – striking a civilian and a deputy.
The Grady County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wellness check at a home in Blanchard just before noon on Aug. 12. Deputies took a woman into custody, placed her in handcuffs and into the back of a marked SUV.
When my mom was 17 she was cuffed in the back of a police car. She slipped her cuffs, slipped into the front sear, and sped off. Because of her level of intoxication at the time, she immediately drove into a ditch, flipping the police car. That's how she ended up in the Army. She retired from the Army in 1999. Oddly enough, I ended up in the Army almost the same way.
I had questions when I saw this story a day or two ago. Specifically, the civilian who got hit in the chest - but whose response was to stand there and say 'Ouch.' I thought it must have been a ricochet. Now looking at the link, a commenter described the 'rifle' as a shotgun, and it does look like one of those double tube shotguns made, I think, by Kel-Tec. So maybe it was flying glass or a pellet that had its force depleted by breaking the window.
I imagine any initial charges didn't include attempted murder. I wonder who that "civilian" (hate that term with regards to anything police related, we're citizens not civilians) was to her because she was willing to throw her life away for a chance to shoot him. Or maybe it's just meth...she has that look.
Sounds like something that'd happen to Sheriff Buford T. Justice. and Junior.
ReplyDeleteWell... Andy I could not fire back because the gun she used belonged to the bullet in my pocket.

ReplyDeleteMy, my... she looks like a real sweetheart doesn't she!
ReplyDeleteNot being familiar with weapons retention in police cars, should it have been that easy for her to get control of the weapon?

ReplyDeleteEverything's a rifle range if you're brave enough.
ReplyDeleteI think they should let her go based on how cute she is. Someone that purdy can shoot me anytime!
ReplyDeleteDude, she looks to be missing a chromosome or two. Don’t diddle the tards bro, it’s just wrong.
