Residents in the Golden State are now paying more than $2 above the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, according to AAA.
The national average stands at $3.73 per gallon, while that number rises to $5.80 in California.
Prices are even higher if you live in the Los Angeles-Long Beach and Orange County areas.

A quick check on gasbuddy.com shows fuel prices in the area I came from ranging between $5.15 and $6.09 (!) a gallon.
Here in Lafayette Tennessee, it was between $3.13 and $3.19 a gallon.

It's all price gouging by corporations. For instance, Homo Depot charges $ 20 for a 1 inch by 10 foot electrical conduit in San Diego, in Hilo Hawaii, the very same electrical conduit sells for $63. Talk about price gouging!
ReplyDeleteWhere's the justification for these stupid prices....?
Nothing actually comes from Hawaii but macadamia nuts, lava, pineapples, pigs, and sugarcane. Anything else has to be imported in relatively small amounts.
DeleteWhen I worked for Safeway, we shipped twenty 30' containers twice a week from my warehouse alone. They also shipped containers from Frozen, GM, Meat and Produce warehouses in the same complex, but I couldn't tell you how many.

ReplyDeleteRadio stations in the Phoenix are going orgasmic claiming gas prices have dropped nationwide for the last 100 days in a row. Izzat so? What that really means is that all across America MSM commies are reporting instances of one or two gas stations who dropping their prices for the day. Seems odd, dontcha think, that they never get back to us the next day to report the increases?
Delete3.75 on Hwy 95 north of I-40
DeleteInland Empire socal gas minimum $5.29 and next up is $5.49, then $5.55. Cheapest Diesel? $5.59.

ReplyDeleteThe USA, despite your complaints, has dirt cheap "gas" (petrol).
ReplyDeleteDown in Australia, the fuel excise cut just ended and a "gallon" (4.4 litres) costs around $14 USD in the suburbs and maybe 20% cheaper in cities, and even worse in Europe. $3 or so per gallon is unimaginable to most western countries.
It's not an Imperial gallon. Their gallon is 3.785 litres.
