When you consider America’s “margin of success” on fatherless homes, it’s almost as though there’s been a systematic plan to—in the words of Black Lives Matter—destroy the Western nuclear family, and in so doing destroy American society. It’s as if organizations, elected officials, and “thought leaders” spent the past 70 years doing everything in their power to remove fathers as authority figures in the home and replace them with the state: destroy the nuclear family, reshape society.

Commentary: An America First Family Policy
A startling new study by the Pew Research Center reveals a staggering statistic. The United States is No. 1 globally . . . but in a shameful category. Of the 130 nations surveyed America, by more than a factor of three, had the greatest number of fatherless homes: “The U.S. has the world’s highest rate of children living in single-parent households. Almost a quarter of U.S. children under the age of 18 live with one parent and no other adults (23%), more than three times the share of children around the world who do so (7%).”

Everybody should know about the introduction of bull elephants into a national park in Africa to teach behavior to dangerous teenage elephants. And, those who wish to destroy the family several years ago posited the idea that men and women at one time lived in separate caves, with men trading killed animals for sex, cooked meals and sewn clothing. Democrats and other socialists will dance around the need for a structured family because their political capital for so long has depended on the idea of single mother households. Households, not families. I cannot count the times hearing a woman addressed as "a single mom" and the following effusive applause from an audience. Yes, anti-Progressive need to campaign on Family First/America First platforms.

ReplyDeleteI married my high school sweetheart. We had 3 kids, I worked a foundry job, instead of going to college and getting an easier job, to support the family. The grass being greener on the other side of the fence, my ex wife's friends convinced her that she could do better, and she kicked me to the curb, after 11 years, and our youngest only 6 months old.
ReplyDeleteThis was the woman that I expected to grow old with. Life goes on, and I remarried, and just celebrated my 30th anniversary with the love of my life, the mother of my 2 adopted children and the step mother of my 3 biological children.
The biggest regret that I will never get over, is the fact that I didn't get to raise my own kids. I got the most possible visitation possible, back in the late 1980's, which was every other weekend and 2 weeks in the summer. Oh, I did have joint legal custody. When my ex and her husband wanted to move to Kentucky with my last son, who was 9 at the time, the judge said that even with joint legal custody, I could not do anything to stop them from taking my son, so long as it was for his job.
So the government created the entire single mother issue, while screwing the man, no matter who might have been a better parent. Hint, I would have done a better job. Now, they claim to make the two parents come up with a "parenting plan", which means pretty much nothing, since the judge in our state still gives more weight to the female. And the thing is, I am one of the normal stories, not one of the worse ones, who get rolled by the government and end up paying child support even after their kids have kids of their own. It used to be that a couple of states did not extradite deadbeat dads, so they were called. I hate to say so, but I understand why some men went that route, of moving out of state, just so they could afford to live.
