CHARLOTTE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to not open suspicious envelopes being delivered to Tennessee residents.
The small, square envelopes look like they’re from Amazon and contain a gift card, but they do not. The envelopes contain a white powdery substance, which investigators are testing.
My wife and I have received beads and other odds and ends from China. From what I can find, they send trivial things to addresses in the US so that they can show the addresses as "Verified Customers" on Amazon and then post fake 5 star reviews using your name. Wouldn't be surprised to find out the powder is something like talc.
Now everyone will have their mail stolen.

ReplyDeleteYou'd think they would test faster.
