NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Songwriters Association International awarded Taylor Swift the ‘Songwriter-Artist of the Decade’ honors on Tuesday night.
I agree with anyone that says our generation was happier because our music was better, way better. In our time Taylor Swift wouldn’t have even been a speed-bump on the road to Nashville!
Well, it was either give her the award, or she'd write a song about how all the MEN on the committee broke her heart by not giving her the award. Placation.
It's been a long time since I've given a shit about entertainment awards given out to entertainers by other entertainers. In fact, the more I think about it, I don't think I've ever given a shit about it.
"Crazy" written by Willie Nelson, recorded by Patsy Cline, was the number 1 jukebox song in the US for something like 20 years. (Until jukeboxes were no more?) I'm guessing Taylor's songs aren't remembered after 20 days.

Right on, Sierra Ferrell. I don't like everything she does, but the stuff I do like, I really, really like. I listen to at least a couple of her songs every night on youtube while I'm reading.
I don't agree with the FTW comment. I have been following WC for a long time and he has softened and gentled somewhat since leaving that Newsome-led conclave of leftist vipers. Something along the lines of living the free god fearing life, breathing clean air and being surrounded by good hearted, happy folks. Just my opinion.
