One day that dog is going to decide he's had enough of that shit

Anaheim police are looking to speak with a man who was captured on video kicking and hitting a dog in the hallway of an apartment complex.

The video, which was captured on a doorbell security camera, has been shared hundreds of times on social media.

  1. Never beat any of my dogs. If they screw up I make sure they understand the infraction and give them a 30 second scolding. Tone of voice gets them humble pretty fast. I've been able to solve the porcupine problem because we both have to go thru the quill removal deal. However, at least once a year one of them will get sprayed by a skunk. Any advice on this problem would be welcome. Peroxide and baking soda gets rid of the odor but it's a chore I could do without.

    1. "Tone of voice"

      Right there.
Tone is everything to a dog.
Use your high pitch voice for complimenting the dog.
Use your low pitch voice for scolding the dog.
My 8yo female Aussie-Brittany owns me and she eats Iams dry large chunks exclusively. I keep a bunch of the chunks in my left britches pocket and give them to her all day long when she does something good (doing her business, stop barking at the UPS truck, etc..

  3. I have a half Rott half Shepherd I'd like him to kick for me when they find him , heh . The bitch would bite his boots off and go up to the knees before she got done . Never hit your dog . One short word and her world is broken .

  4. Dog will run away.
I've taken in two dogs which had been beaten. Different breeds, both were extremely hesitant to bond. Their learned response was to run away.
With both it took a lot of time and a lot of care to get them to trust. Even then, the lab would sometimes revert.
