There is a growing faction of elite “progressives,” however, who deride both the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. In their telling, these venerable documents are old, dusty, and out of date. These radicals want to replace the bedrock principle of equality with the idea of “equity,” colorblind justice with never-ending (and, for them, quite profitable) racial grievance. Worst of all, they want to eliminate our settled and fair laws and replace them with the tyranny of power politics.

A Vow to Serve
When I was sworn in as the 24th Sheriff of Pinal County, Arizona, I took an oath to support the Constitution. So did the more than 3,000 sheriffs serving across America. The best of us reaffirm this oath every morning. This daily commitment to the legally enshrined principles of justice is the crucial philosophic orientation that separates America from a lawless land where “every man [does] that which [is] right in his own eyes.”

If i lived in his county he would get my vote.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, he'll still happily throw you in a cage for daring to ignore the illegal laws he is sworn to impose. Make your own machinegun or grow your own cocaine and see how Constitutional he is.
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong, but if it is a LAW then how can it be illegal? Making a machine gun and growing cocaine are unlawful whether you bring in the US constitution or not. I would hope there would be some legal ramifications. I do not want, nor my family to live in an anarchy.
DeleteGotta disagree. Machine guns are proscribed because the government wants absolute power.
DeleteMaking your own firearms (machine guns are firearms. And they had multishot firearms and devastating privately-owned cannon before the Declaration was signed, much less the Articles of Confederation or the Constitution) is illegal "whether you bring in the US Constitution or not"?
DeleteExplain that one to me.
1: how is *anything* illegal if the answer is "not" "bringing in" the constitution (because without the constitution, there is no State, genius, unless you're referring to the constitution of the territory of Arizona, which would be...very special and still nonsensical)
2: if you "bring in" the constitution, and therefore actually have the possibility of a legitimate legal framework...where in the 2nd amendment does it state "shall not be infringed...except for weapons that scare Rich. And other...vertebrally deficient...people like him. So no machine guns!"
Or "shall not be infringed...unless you make them yourself, that's a no-no, you naughty boys and girls!"
Where?
Right.
Unconstitutional laws are prima facie illegal. They just aren't ignored as the unconstitutional and invalid bullshit they are because of the men with guns who obey orders to enforce those unconstitutional laws and ignore their oaths to the constitution in the process. Guess they like killing dogs and maiming babies too much.
Clear enough? Good.
Lol, grow your cocaine… what a hoot
