Actual Malice
America’s corporate press is out of control. It claims to be an institution essential to successful self-government—and it would in fact be so, if it did its job responsibly. But all too often the American press seeks not to facilitate democratic deliberation by informing the voters but instead to shape political outcomes by dealing in hysteria and misinformation. More specifically, the corporate media routinely seeks to pull the nation’s politics leftward by using defamation to render prominent figures on the right odious to the public.

The MSM doesn't even hide thier leftist views anymore only a moron would believe that they are impartial. I quit watching the news over 15yrs. ago and canceled my subscription to the local paper because of thier obvious bias

ReplyDeleteMy largest intake of legacy media these days is when I'm killing a little time and read the "news" on my phone. EVERY article is biased waaay left. Every single one. Whether it's another Trump slam or degrading Novak for not vaxxing up or Russia murdering old people in their Ukrainian beds or giving Biden et.al. yet another pass for the latest round of idiocy or how climate change is destroying the planet, you name it, everything is the fault of conservatives.

And you can forget about true investigative journalism from them, those days are sooo yesterday. The fact is if you really want to be informed, you have to seek out information on the web.

In 1971 a book was published; this is the blurb describing it "Don't blame the people: How the news media use bias, distortion and censorship to manipulate public opinion." I read this book around 1975 as a source for a course at University. It has only gotten worse and much more blatant as the press has degenerated into a bunch of propogandists pushing an open anti-white agenda of hate and vitriol.
