Again? *yawn*

NEW YORK - If you live in New York City, it probably comes as no surprise to hear that rats are becoming increasingly visible all across the Big Apple.

Sightings of the rodents are up a stunning 70% from this time two years ago, with New Yorkers calling in some 21,557 rat sightings to the city's 3-1-1 service request line between January 1 and September 30.

******

It seems like about once every couple months I read about an increase in rat sightings in NYC.
The worst one though was when the city got locked down for covid and garbage was piling up in the streets. I mean, who knew that an accumulation of garbage would bring out the rats?

  1. There's a video out there that shows how rat is prepared to look exactly like chicken....forewarned is forearmed!

  3. Average size of rats is way up as well. The city has caught some insane sized rats lately.

  5. Maybe the rodents have been inspired by the "Rat-Face" unelected governor.

  6. Are they talking about sightings of rats rats, or politician rats? 'Cause I know the politicians hate to live in their own Districts.

  7. Problem is the Gov got involved. Developed a 5 point plan and will vote on it soon. $4.8M should have been paid as bounties.

  8. Heh, used to see rats all the time in NYC even back in the sixties. The only difference now is more people = more rats. Just like government.

  9. Got a little red dog that likes rats . He eats the head and won't touch the nasty bodies . I could probably start breeding him and make a killing up in that fookin' hell hole but I prefer to read the amusing stories about their travails with rodents . I don't suppose we should tell them about little red dogs , huh ?
