West Monroe, NY — A Brewerton man who has had high profile arrests recently has been arrested again. This time on arson and burglary charges, according to New York State Police.
"Police say Somers intentionally started a fire within the structure to stay warm and that the flames spread to the rest of the structure.
Six nearby fire departments responded along with State Police, and after fighting the fire, determined the building to be a total loss."
If it is true, as I have read or heard on numerous occasions, that a house fire doubles in size every 15 seconds, I don't see how any fire department could be fast enough to prevent a total loss every time. Maybe another poster with fire fighting experience could explain.
Like the statistics that state things like "someone died of a heart attack every 5 minutes" it is a generalization. If provided enough fuel and air, yes a fire grows quickly. That is not always the case, and it is reason why basically every fabric you aren't wearing or sleeping on in your house is flame retardant. It is also why you have flame stops in your framing, double sheetrock on the walls between your house and attached garage, etc., Etc.
What the F was this sub-human doing out of jail? You should get a couple chances then do hard time with no parole. Liberal policies, laws and judges are destroying society.

ReplyDeleteI'd say this is yet another person who one way or another, should not be out and about among us.
