THAT is the best piece of news I have heard in a while! As a PureBlood myself, I have dodged all the mandates, even the federal ones that would supposedly prevent my department from collecting federal and state Medicare and Medicaid money because we were "non-compliant" with jab mandates. I hope this means a precedent that spreads nationwide and anyone that had to choose between the jab (and possibly their life) or a job is reinstated with full back pay.
Shout out to all of you NYC former future Employees going back to work along with your back pay: The Lord works in mysterious ways. Not only do you now realize you were sent home so you didn't needlessly have to tolerate all the Vaxx Nazis, you will NOW BE PAID FOR IT! Now your coworkers may not like you anymore because you stuck to your principles - sucks to be right amongst all those insufferable twats.
Don't stock up on confetti and noise makers yet folks. This will be overturned on appeal. The obsessed New York progressives got a lot of legal staying power.
There's no room for appeals. The New York State Supreme Court is the final authority on New York state law. The US Supreme Court should rightly say, "That's state law. Not my problem."
The New York State Supreme Court is *not* the actual Supreme Court for New York State? WTF? Why is it called the New York State Supreme Court, then?! And if the New York State Supreme Court *is* the literal Supreme Court for the State of New York...then the only option for appeal is the federal courts. And this case is definitely a State matter, not a federal one. A federal court overturning a State Supreme Court on an unquestionably internal State matter? Big issues. Lots of em.
The NY Court of Appeals is the highest court. NYSC is "supreme" over some county and city courts, but any case involving over $25,000 _begins_ in the NYSC.
I'm thinking about all those military people that got forced out rather than take the jab. Can you imagine the chaos of trying to return them to their former status?
People, the ones that can afford to, have been bailing on NYC and NYS for years over high taxes. Can you imagine how high they're going to have to raise the rates to make up for having to pay all those back wages?
Then there's the question of where'd all of the tax dollars go they didn't spend on wages after firing all of those people?
I'm smelling a bankruptcy declaration in NYC"s and NYS's near future.
Because it is New York, and they are different. Their "Supreme Court" is what other states call their courts of appeal. New Yorks' highest state Court is their Court of Appeals. NYC will file an appeal very soon, but depending on New York state law, they city may still be found wrong. John in Indy

DeleteNo it isn't. NYSC is NOT the highest state court.
DeleteI stand corrected. Let the appeals begin!
DeleteThis was a county level supreme court. There's a few appeals before it gets up to the state level.

I'm smelling NYS and NYC asking for a Federal bailout.
DeleteAnd as for missing money, you can start by asking the former mayor's wife about that.
Rick, she stole those millions well before all those people were fired.

Angry Prepper retired early from the NYFD to avoid the clotshot. He would've been better off fired because now he's screwed.
