The Uvalde, Texas, school district -- still facing withering criticism over its police department's failings both during the May 24 elementary school massacre and since -- announced the suspension of the entire district police force on Friday.

who ever came up with the dumb fucking idea of standing around outside the place where a
ReplyDeletenutcase is shooting people should be shot. I not sure about some units, but back in the day we where told to go in and stop it. and we didn't have body armor or any of the fancy shit these clowns need today to feel "safe" .
I couldn't believe what I saw the damn cops doing outside of the shooting in colobine
or whatever it called. what a bunch of pussies.
they should be ashamed of what they didn't do that day.
As much as they deserve it, I think they messed up. Keeping a crummy police force and simultaneously aggressively hunting replacements and firing the current ones as replacements are hired seems like a better approach.
ReplyDeleteThis is telling everyone that the town is wide open. They at least need an Acting Chief of police who can recruit citizens of good character to act as a police force in the interim.
One thing this will accomplish is what a defunded police force looks like.
It's not the Uvalde PD. Its the Uvalde School District PD. BIG difference.
DeleteI think it was only the school district's pd, not the town or county pd.
DeleteSuspended Officer Barney Fife hardest hit. U.S.D. Confiscates Barney's single bullet and tell him “Bad cop, no bullet for you.”
ReplyDeleteWTF? Why would a school district have its own police force? There are already city police, county sheriffs/deputies, state police, Texas Rangers, etc. What's next HOA police forces?
ReplyDeleteYes, because your average Republican has been brainwashed with the cognitive dissonance of "support our troops", "support our law enforcement", "back the blue", 'murrica, while at the same time chanting "come and take it", "don't tread on me", and "I must obey the government laws that prevent me from protecting my children in public schools by disarming myself when I walk into a school like a good little b*tch" while not realizing just who is going to be coming and taking it while treading on you and making sure your children aren't protected. It's really quite amazing to see the brain damage on both sides. If we just vote harder next time, our guy will have all these amazing powers, and they *totally* won't be used against us (or we can't think four years ahead) when the other "team" might be in charge.
