When I first watched I thought "Surely those lines were de-energized as a precaution". I just watched it again, closely. There was a huge arc when the stack came down.
I hope none of those people got hurt by those live wires whipping around. One looked like a little girl.
#5 - anytime we bring in equipment over a certain weight, we run a seismic survey over the concrete area where it has to park to make sure there are no sinkholes below. I've seen several events where heavy equipment broke thru the concrete and there was no dirt beneath. Oops.
Army grenade range NCOs make soldiers duck down after tossing the splodey bomb. I wanted to watch the thing go BOOM! On a range for an NCO course at Benning, dozens of devices with hundreds of pounds of explosives were attached in trees or buried in the ground, but we had to hide in concrete culverts when the stuff went off. Bummer.
That's what I miss about the Corps of Engineers, fun times.
