MILLER PLACE, N.Y. - Close to 300 animals were carried out of a home in Miller Place in cages on Tuesday. They'd been living inside what officials are calling a house infested with cockroaches, mites, and lice.
Miller Place is a rather high-rent district out east on Long Island's North Shore. I lived in Mount Sinai, the next town over, and if this woman's place was even remotely near the water, it was a million dollar property. Kinda upscale for a social worker. Something doesn't smell right (aside from, ya know, the animals).
Heh, I grew up just south of you in Coram. Miller Place is pretty nice, agreed. It is a shame that the Davis Peach Farm is gone. Used to love those peaches.
There's no place like a home in Miller Place, NY.
