MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — A family is in disbelief after they say a Memphis funeral home buried a stranger where their father was supposed to be laid to rest — and they only found out after they arrived to pay their last respects.
Over the past year or two, I've run across and posted several articles about the funeral home and their fuck-ups. The link goes into some detail about it.
No, my older brother had a friend who worked in a funeral home. That's where I heard it 50 years ago. Sam Swenson was his name. Funny how a guy remembers crap like that.
Last couple of funerals, they had open casket viewing. Then we watched as the casket was closed, carried to the hearse, then followed the hearse to the graveyard, then watched the casket go from the hearse to the grave. No chance of wrong body in the wrong hole. How in the hell did they screw that up?
Their motto must be "We make money while you go in the hole, even if it's the wrong hole".

Opening the wrong grave is more often the fault of the cemetary worker.
