America's worrying rise in murder rates is felt most acutely in Kansas City, Detroit and St Louis, says a study that blames soft-on-crime policies and efforts to defund the police for a nationwide uptick in homicides.

Nationwide, cities with Democratic mayors were recording higher increases in homicides than in Republican-led administrations.
Note that this 'study' is ranking the highest increase in homicide rates. I don't know where they get their stats, but I live in Southeast Columbus, OH, right off Machine Gun Alley (some idiot owns an Uzi out here and shoots it off on New Year's). Sure, there are places in Columbus I wouldn't go at all, but it's not an especially violent city. What surprised me was Madison, WI made the list. I've lived in Mad City, and the crime just isn't there.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, I attended a Columbus Zoning Department meeting last night which featured Columbus city council members, and I'm here to tell you that these elected officials are so completely ignorant and just plain stupid that even I can't believe it, and I was there and saw it and heard it. All Democrats, by the way.
I'd take this list with a grain of salt, but even if the numbers are close, it's the stupid moonbats that are doing it to the rest of us.

DeleteI have lived in K.C. all of my adult life, and the murder rate is not the worst it has ever been, but it is slowly creeping up. There used to be a mock cemetery at 27th and Prospect which is in the worst area of the city. The biggest problem I see is the cops don't do shit in the worst areas, and the brothers get bold knowing the cops aren't going to show up unless someone gets shot. When they do show up, it is only to cart off the body and take a handful of statements which amount to nothing. As it is a demoncrat run city, in most cases it is black on black crimes as far as murders go, car thefts are mostly the white meth heads, and the rest is fairly evenly distributed amongst the rest. My neighbors used to laugh when i would cut my grass with my .45 on my hip, but they ain't laughing about it much these days. The only way to stay safe around here is be prepared and keep your head on a swivel, cause the boys in blue ain't gonna do shit to help until the blood has already been spilled.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to commit a crime right here: the crime of (gasp) noticing patterns. The aforementioned cities all have a few things in common, especially as regards their political "leadership". These are, in no particular order: black people, democrats and women.
ReplyDeleteSt. Louis, just for example, has a democrat black woman mayor "Shitaura" Jones, and prosecuting attorney. Chicongo has black Beetlejuice, Mayor "Fisheyes" Lightfoot. All the named cities in the list are dysfunctional hell holes and becoming ever more so. Their eventual fates will resemble that of Detroit, and mostly for the same underlying reasons. Kiss them all goodbye, because as with all other existential American crises, there is zero political will or appetite to do what is needed to fix them so that they are livable again.
