Aspiring electrician's life cut short

The body of a man was found inside an underground electrical vault at the shuttered Carousel Mall in San Bernardino.

Security video from the area showed the man wearing a backpack walking outside the mall at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

  1. According to the article homeless people are referred to as "the unhoused."

    1. I guess that I am old. As I remember that the terms, bums, winos, tramps, never do wells, scum of the earth, druggies etc. being used back in the day. All here in LA of all places.

  2. from the article: "they were attempting to remove copper or things to scavenge, and they hit a live line and electrocuted themselves"

They? THEY? there was one effing person in that vid and the story indicates the authorities found ONE body.

THEY? I learned, I think it was back in THIRD GRADE, that "they" meant multiple people or things.

What in the ever loving F*CK?!?!?!?!?

    1. Maybe "They" was their chosen pronoun.

    2. ''They'' is also a person of unspecified gender. For instance, it could be a he or a she, we just don't know so calling them a they is quite proper. The English language has many nuances that we don't pick up on if we stop our learning at the third grade.

  6. You got empty, you're going to get break-ins. Should be a rule: Place abandoned, owner has six months to tear it down. You don't have an approved plan to tear down something, you don't get approval to build it.

  9. I'm shocked! Seriously, a current story. Electrifying reading. Bet his parent's grounded him growing up until he could conduct himself correctly. Favorite band was AC/DC.
    Yeah...I'll show myself out.
