California looking at billions in tax revenue shortfall next fiscal year

SACRAMENTO -- The good times might soon be over for California's government.

The nation's most populous state has had so much cash lately that lawmakers have spent freely - handing out free health care to low-income immigrants, paying for every 4-year-old to attend kindergarten and sending more than $21 billion in stimulus checks to taxpayers over the past two years.

  1. Maybe Newsom can start a "gofundme" page. I sure all the thousands of former residents who fled Commiefornia would kick in.

    1. Nah. Too hard. Just hit up Uncle Pedo Joe for a bailout, because spending cuts are too hard also.

  2. Newsom is a COMPLETE IDIOT! I have to live under this guy's thumb, and for the life of me cannot find ANYONE who voted for him!!! He's nothing more than a product of the Pelosi cartel.

This is the same guy who was claiming to have a $50B SURPLUS just a few months ago! He was out there asking "How should we spend all this money?" He never did ask us if we WANTED OUR MONEY BACK! To make matters worse, BIDEN, in his senility and arrogance, is PLAGIARIZING Newsom's ideas!!!

Anyone out there who thinks Newsom would make a good president truly needs THERAPY!! He is the most destructive force the once-great state of California has EVER SEEN!!!!

  3. Lmao - what willful omission have they made?

The billions the state retirement fund is short.

Fking libs only know how to spend, never pay for or save.

    Some things can't be fixed.

    1. Between CalPERS and CalSTRS (the state teacher's retirement fund) the state by now has over a trillion dollars in unfunded pension liabilities. It was just under that several years ago, so it's got to be well over a trillion now.

  5. 4-year-olds? What age do kids usually go to kindergarten? I would think 5, before starting elementary school at 6, but I truly don't know. I'm 57 & from the country; I didn't know any kids who went to kindergarten.

  7. "California has more than $130 billion available" ??? Sounds like taxes are too high. Give most of it back to the people who paid it in and maybe they won't all leave.

    1. The dirty little secret is that the people that are leaving are the people the Dems WANT to leave.
The pinheads under the Golden Dome should change the state motto from 'Eureka' to "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, MAGA Deplorables".
