My world is falling apart - first the Taylor Swift ticket mess and now this
Starbucks workers at more than 100 U.S. stores say they're going on strike Thursday in what would be the largest labor action since a campaign to unionize the company's stores began late last year.
That means that Taylor can’t order a Grande Caramel Nonfat Latte!!! Whatever can be done?! The disappointment might lead to a new song, though… WiscoDave
A wonderful strike because I bet there will be plenty customers that will find out that they CAN survive without their daily ten dollars worth of coffee.
Oh hell, I've been using a press all my adult life. I even bought a stainless steel one for my pack when I was spending a lot of time up in the Sierras. Much better coffee, if you ask me.
I am vehemently opposed to a Starbucks worker strike. What if their customers find my coffee shop with a) better coffee, b) less expensive coffee, and c) an excellent staff of non-bitter people with liberal arts degrees?
Oh my, where will all those college gender studies graduates work now, Burger King? Never cared for starbucks coffee or their blue haired bitter baristas.
I am looking for IT work after 22 yrs and one of the positions the recruiter mentioned was at Starbucks. I said I would not want to work there, and they would probably not want me either.
Woman makes mine at home, feel free to strike your asses off!
ReplyDeleteOMG, where will I get coffee now? (strolls out to kitchen....)

ReplyDeleteI bet they won't let any illegal immigrants vote.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest introduced me to a French press and a grinder last year. Starbucks should just fire all those snowflakes.

My only issue with a press is the mess, but yes great coffee.
DeleteNever been in one of the dumps.
ReplyDeleteStarbucks? WTF would anyone drink that evil crap? It’s bitter and soulless, kind of like my ex-wife.
ReplyDeleteFuck Em!
ReplyDeleteStar Bucks can close their doors for all I care.
ReplyDeleteBurnt bean black water. No loss.

I like their Iced Dihydrogen Monoxide
ReplyDeleteI appreciate a good cup of coffee but I'm no coffee snob. (Survived 40 years of shitty, lukewarm machine shop coffee.)
ReplyDelete$10.00 Wally mart drip brewer at home.
Restaurant coffee for my thermos on road trips.
Instant when camping.
I like mine fortified with a good splash of fake Kahlua.
Portland Maine store just voted to unionize and the store was closed.
ReplyDeleteWeren't they Pilots on Battlestar Galactica? Isn't it a good thing they are going to strike the Cylons?
