Open Carry vs. Concealed Carry: When is it appropriate? with Jerry Miculek
Champion shooter Jerry Miculek, goes over what the benefits of both open and concealed carry are; as well as how to present yourself as a responsible gun owner while doing so.
I have had a carry permit for 40+ years. Early on I was all about conceal and not printing. I went so far as to carry a 32 ACP for a number of years. Now I could care less about printing. I carry my S&W 65 in a shoulder rig in the winter and a Glock 22 in a outside waist band appendix carry in the summer.
The only time I have ever had anybody say anything was a young cop noticed the bulge under my light weight jacket. He asked what I was carrying and I replied "A police issue model 65". His response was "Oh, have a nice day".
Two years in a row here during Mardis Gras people open carrying at a parade had their firearms snatched out of their holsters. I don't go to the parades or open carry.

Both (as Pooh would say - some of you will get that). Open carry in a holster plus a concealed backup.
ReplyDeletePlus. Never go anywhere without a knife.
