      Frankenstein's monster was assembled out of parts,and obviously the twig and two nuts came from a werewolf.

      When constructing his monster Frankentein ran out of human bits and used parts he got in a monster sale.. He stitched them on where he thought no body would ever find them.
      Thus the reason for Herman's smug smile, and Lily's enigmatic smile.
