Um, this ain't New York City, lady

RALEIGH, N.C. - A North Carolina restaurant said a customer called 911 after her barbecue was pink, not understanding how the cooking process works.

Clyde Cooper’s BBQ in downtown Raleigh said the story may sound like a hoax, but in fact, it was real.

  2. About a dozen years back, my wife and I had a Swedish exchange student for a time. One night we barbecued a chicken. The girl refused to eat it. "It is not cooked," she said. "It is pink." No matter our explanations, she maintained that the chicken "was raw." She was later sent home, not for refusing our chicken, but for problems at high school.
