CPD looking for suspects who committed 13 robberies in 5 hours

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department sent out a community alert today to residents in the North Lawndale and Garfield Park neighborhoods about a group of individuals who committed a string of robberies earlier this morning.

Police said the incidents happened from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. and in each instance suspects exited a vehicle and approached victims on foot while displaying guns. The victims were then robbed of their personal possessions and the suspects ran away in the vehicle they arrived in.

  2. But how could this happen? Guns are tightly controlled in Chicago! Surely these fine Chicago city residents didn’t have evil, illegally obtained firearms….

    1. They blame neighboring less woke states on all the bad guns. Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri. You don’t have to pay for a FOID card to exercise your CONSTITUTIONAL right in other states. They blame straw purchases for the guns in Chicongo.

  3. Illinois just decriminalized most black crime effective in January. There ought to be a crime wave early next year of epic proportions. This is just an example of a few chimps who are ahead of the curve.

    2. By then it should be approaching anarchy. This example of 13 robberies over a few hours suggests a complete lack of respect for law enforcement. Like the flashmob looters in California, this and the known lack of consequences will feed into itself and those who are inclined to carry out these crimes will start pulling their own capers so as not to miss out. There will be "some" consequences of course. The people of Illinois who have kept the communists in power in that state will find out about those first.

  4. And another total idiot trying to masquerade as a journalist...."...and the suspects ran away in the vehicle they arrived in." That sentence would have gotten me a failing grade in my Jr HS journalism class!

  8. "The combination of carbon and lube create (wait for it) … filth. It is so dirty that, while sitting in the rifle rack, it is almost a biohazard. The filth oozes out and contaminates other carbines adjacent to it" That quote from the article reminds me of an Amish friends rifle sitting on his back porch . I asked him if he ever cleaned it and he said " Yeah,it quit shooting once and I had to clean it".
