EOD: "Blow it in place"

The case left doctors shell-shocked.

A French hospital was partially evacuated Saturday after a senior citizen arrived with a World War I artillery shell lodged in his rectum.

The 88-year-old patient visited Hospital Sainte Musse in Toulon to have the antique explosive removed — but instead sparked a “bomb scare,” French publication Var-Matin reported.

  1. The big question was did it have a contact or variable timed fuse? More likely it was a delayed action bowel buster.

  2. Looks like no primer in the case, but the average person who isn't familiar with cartridges probably wouldn't know. Next up, a nice 75mm tank round. As a stretch goal.

  5. Never had a chance to remove a live round from a live person, but I know a guy that did. The circumstances of this situation would have made me think really hard about helping. One of us would have, but I personally don’t give a shit about demented perverts and am not inclined to risk my ass for theirs, literally speaking. Might have assisted so the docs didn’t get hurt, but fuck the patient. Eod1sg Ret

  9. Ok, he slipped in the shower. But if you are going to split with your buddy, do not tell him before the action starts.
