#2 is extremely stupid. A lot of people have died that way even without the incoming water. Don't bury people at the beach.
Why not? Its easier than in any back yard.
If you bury them in the backyard you have to explain it. If you bury them at the beach it is like "Oh. You were on the beach." Everything is okay.
