Good help is hard to find nowadays
LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Five La Vergne police officers were fired and three were suspended Wednesday for allegedly having sexual relationships with a fellow officer on duty, sending explicit photos to each other, and engaging in “three-ways” with another officer and his wife, according to a police investigation document.

I see this story hasn't made the news section of the La Vergne, Tennessee Police Department's website yet. I wonder why.
ReplyDeleteThe department consists of 71 commissioned officers, which means more than 10% of the force was involved. Wow.
They're probably embarrassed. This is the South and two of the male cops are black, one is hispanic and the female cop is a white girl.

ReplyDeleteThe problem arises, there we go again, problem arises that job performance will still suffer even if this was an after hours affair. Because of feelings and over all unprofessional around the water bottle kinda crap, and favoritism.
Bottom line, “Don’t shit where you eat”. If I was the chief, anyone involved in this behavior needs to go.
Saber, irrelevant. It effects their duty. It fails to uphold the expectation we have in them; namely, they are irresponsible and cannot be trusted.
DeleteIts messed up that a cop might charge someone for the same behavior he engages in. That's any type of behavior unacceptable to civil society.
Does the decay of society not concern you?

DeleteHa, I worked for a police department once that had a rather large swinger population. The only difference between a cop and a crook psychologically is the team they choose to play for.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend was a cop for 25 years. 23 of them on a motorcycle. He always said that if he wasn't a cop he would have been a member of the Outlaw's M/C.
Deletethat run down Murfreesboro Rd = right down the middle of Lavergne was always a crooked speed trap, that department used to have quotas. I got popped there around 1988 going 7 mph over and on Waldron Rd in 1991, that day I was delivering a crankshaft to Sterling Marlins' shop, same deal.

DeleteIf you went through there and both of the cars were at the station, you could pretty much floor it from there to Bell Rd.
