Illinois bans 'assault-style' weapons

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — With the stroke of his pen, Governor JB Pritzker made Illinois the ninth state to ban assault-style weapons.

The governor and supporters of the measure say the passage is long overdue.

  8. Fat turd Pritzker is a typical democrat that signed this bill in clear violation of the Second Amendment as articulated by the Supreme Court. An AR-15 is one of the most ubiquitously owned rifles in the country, and the Supreme Court clearly stated that it is not an "unusual weapon" that falls outside Second Amendment protection. Cuomo (former governor of NY) did the same thing and implemented New York's "S.A.F.E. Act" which does nothing to make anyone safe. The IL legislation seems to be a cookie cutter of New York's.

If New York got rid of its Negroes, its violent crime rate would plummet, and it would be one of the safest states to live in. As it is, I do not go into New York City anymore. New York wants me to stay unarmed, yet allows the criminal element no bail, so that they can rob, rape and kill while awaiting trial for their previous felony.

  9. Does this mean that the state, county, and local police, sheriffs, etc, will be turning in their AR-15's to be destroyed?

  10. I predict we will soon see the following headlines, "Chicago murder rate plummets to zero following Pritzker assault weapon ban." "Pritzker ban to be implemented worldwide." "World peace obtained thanks to Pritzker." "JB Pritzker awarded Nobel Peace Prize."

  17. Matt, greetings from a Chicago "collar county" ... I'll give you a hint .. I reside in one of the two counties where the State Attorney was in favor of "affordable bail" under the SAFE-T Act.

All .. the one person who is truly responsible for the Foul Turd which Gov Fatboi Toilet-Yanker Putzker just signed is Bobby Crimo III. Who is that? He's the little shit-bag who shot-up the Independence Day Parade in Highland Park. As soon as that event happened, I knew a Bloomberg-style full blown AWB was coming .. it was only a matter of when.

Anon at Jan 11th, 10.50am - the IL State Rifle Association and the trade group which represents IL FFL businesses have BOTH pledged to sue in Federal Court.

Anon at Jan 11th, 10.54am - I live about 30 minutes from DS. They are largely a manufacturer selling both out-of-state and out of the country. They build a significant number of FN FAL rifles, the kind with the giggle switches, for African game wardens and the like. Yup, DS are full-on Merchants of Death. I hope they too join the lawsuit as their property has an FFL type 1 "pro shop" too.

    Best regards everyone ...
