Netflix plans to bar users from sharing passwords for free by the end of March of this year, according to a recent company announcement in a letter to shareholders.
Yep we cancelled when the pulled the soft core child porn Cuties bullcrap. I wrote them and explained the option is fire the CEO, CFO, VPs, marketing and HR, and apologize, or go broke. They chose broke.
I have explained the same thing to Levi, Burger King, Dove, Gillette and many others.
You can use your Netflix account on your phone, you can use your account on your tablet, you have a vacation home you can use it there. All these were previously acknowledged to be acceptable. How exactly will Netflix identify the one that's your parents or ex-girlfriend?
They will go with a TFA token to your email or device. Which will likely have a short time limit to enter, which will be ever so user friendly entering on a TV.
I watch my brother's netflix, and he watches my amazon prime. It's an acceptable trade and we've been doing it for a very long time. So the difference now is I'll have to text him a code to enter every once in a while, if I'm understanding correctly.
They keep charging more and more and really they're offering less and less. This is just the latest move that will enrage a lot of people.
I watch my girlfriends Netflix, she watches my Paramount plus (used to be Hulu but they got woke and too expensive). She doesn't really care about Netflix, if they cut me off she'll just cancel. And something of interest only shows up occasionally so I'm not subscribing. I haven't bought a razor blade from Gillette in years since 'you know what', how they doing?
Who Cates since I killed my account.

Why are people pissed for a company trying to stop folks from cheating them. It was good while it lasted, but still...
