  1. They sound the same live at Merlefest as they do on their albums, which is a testament to superlative musicianship.

  2. Few years back they were with Willie, went to the Twin Shitties for the last time and saw them.

Absolutely spot-on vocals and instruments, a real joy to watch and listen.

Then Willie came on... We left after 5 songs because I had trouble identifying the songs that were blaring disjointedly out of the speakers, the lights were flashing distractingly, and all the Boomers drunk on $15 Buds were absolutely disgusting.

No more crowds and city for this displaced Yooper.

  3. Not a big fan of the female singers but Allison has a fantastic voice.

    1. I saw her with Union Station at the Stanislaus County Fair about 20 years ago, believe it or not. It's a small venue, maybe a couple hundred people and after the show, Alison and the band came down off the stage and visited with everybody. She's a beautiful woman and very down to earth and friendly. I talked with her for about 10 minutes before my ex got jealous and herded me away.

  6. You can see her on YouTube playing with the biggest and most respected stars in the world and you can also find videos of her playing in small, local churches. Not just an amazing talent, but a wonderful Christian witness.

  7. As an old rocker, I started getting into Bluegrass maybe 15 years ago. Alison has the voice of an angel and Dan Timinski can play the shit out of any stringed instrument.

    I love these guys!
