California goes New York on Concealed Carry

California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to limit where people can carry concealed guns after multiple mass shootings left dozens dead across the state in January, calling for more restrictions in a state that already has some of the nation's toughest gun laws.

*****

This is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard of.
Californians that have CCW permits are already proven to be law-abiding with all the hoops the have to jump through just to get their permits, and those are the ones the State is going to come down on?

  1. Since none of the California shooters had CCW permits, it is clear (if it wasn't already clear to everyone) that if the three incidents had involved crossbows, Newsome would want to restrict guns. The Left will continue their attacks on the 2nd Amendment forever. There is no limit on what Newsome and his like will call "sensible gun laws," and its sycophants will blindly agree. An unarmed population is simply easier to manipulate and control.

    1. Let me add that I saw a meme today that said,

"The right to bear arms does not exist so that we can impose our will on others.

It exists so that others cannot impose their will on us."

  2. No guns in churches. That ought to go over well among the members of Bayside Church, a huge church in Granite Bay, CA. It's so big they have to run a shuttle bus from the far end of the parking lot to the front door for Sunday services.

Being close to Sacramento many church members are powerful state employees who have CCW permits and they all carry in church. One is a deputy commissioner of the California Highway Patrol. These people all act as security for the church. And you're going to try disarm them? Good luck.

I think Gavie and the Suits may have bit off more than they can chew on this one.

  3. Obsessed, Neurotic Control Freaks reject reality and cannot be negotiated with. It's all about controlling and destroying those who do not kowtow to them.

  5. Um, aren't these shootings happening in places that are already gun-free zones?
(Well, gun-free until the perp shows up.)

  6. Will this apply to gangs as well?

  7. Well who else is even going to pay any attention at all about whatever gun "rights/laws" they push out?

  9. The law abiding are the ONLY people the state can come down on. Think about it.

Governor, legislature, judges, all are elected to political office. Sheriffs, city councils, county board of supervisors, again, all elected to political office.

One legislates, another advises, yet another enforces. By their very nature, the criminal remains outside the confines of legislation, enforcement, judicial.

Who then can possibly be subject to the aforementioned political entities? The law abiding, that's who.

However, the law abiding can tell the aforementioned to go jump in the lake and still remain law abiding. How so?
Because the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land; that any law repugnant to the Constitution is null and void; that such a law is to be treated as if it never was, i.e., utterly ignored.

Sure, that is my opinion on the matter. But I ask you, as American citizens, a feee people in a constitutional republic, do you really need some court of black robes to decide that which you already know?

By God, you are an American! Stand up!
