HARVEY, Ill. — The food service director for an impoverished south suburban school district is accused of stealing $1.5M worth of food – mainly chicken wings – according to court documents reviewed by WGN Investigates.
11000 boxes for 1.5 mil. That comes out to $136 a 40 lb box. Anyone's guess how many pounds in a box. Costco is $25 for 10 lbs. Looks like the money is in providing food to school districts in chicago. But the levels of payoffs probably creates and almost break even for the vendor.
140 wings, but how many watermelons?
ReplyDeleteMainly chicken wings, but also a few tons of collard greens, chitins, 300 gallons of Mountain Dew and 4 crates of Red Man.
