The tolerant Left will destroy it any day now

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Confederate monument that has been at the center of debate for years in Nashville will remain in Centennial Park following a decision made Friday by the Tennessee Historical Society.

The Tennessee Historical Society voted to reject a petition made by the Metro Board of Parks and Recreation in March 2022 to remove the statue, citing the Heritage Protection Act which says no memorial of a historic conflict, entity, event, figure, or organization on public property should be moved.

  2. I really sick and fuckin tired of the woke folk tryin to take down anything that reminds them of the war...it happened, get over it! I also read that there is an effort to destroy Stone Mountain, and the last time I was on site there, us white folk were in the minority, and the black folk were just enjoying a nice day in a lovely park...peace, out, pass the ammo!

    1. They don't want to be reminded of the war they lost. The war to KEEP their slaves.

  3. If the Confederacy had been Communist, the Left would still be erecting statues of the rebels.

  4. The commies are obsessed neurotics who never give up. Lightening or a flood won't get the job done, so how do you make an earthquake?

  5. I just finished an Biography of Robert E. Lee. Included in the photos in the book were some of the statues erected of Lee in Richmond. Statues that I know are now gone.
For Lee's service in the Mexican War, for his achievements as a civil engineer (particularly in taming the Mississippi River) he would have been an honored historical figure.

But for his importance at the end of the Civil War in preventing the defeated South from turning to guerilla war against the Union, all Americans should be thankful.

    We should be ashamed.
