Amazon Driver Delivers A Package In The Middle Of A Police Standoff

Now THAT is the reason why Amazon is the king of the retail jungle in 2023. Sure Jeff Bezos built an algorithm that knows exactly what you want more than even you do (h/t to the army of Alexas listening to everything you say) along with the fact you can get pretty much everything on God's green Earth somehow delivered to your door in two days or less. But at the end of the day, there needs to be a delivery driver that actually places that package of random shit on your door step...

  2. He'll still be on the 9,000 strong Amazon lay-off list proving once again no good deed goes unpunished.

  3. Not very good perimeter control on the cops' part, he could have been there for other reasons.

  4. Been there, seen that. In a military barracks overseas, 1976. "Armed and dangerous, weapon unknown" young GI is holding a hostage in a room in the center of the barracks, both ends of the hallway are blocked by "armed and nervous" Security Police. Pizza delivery guy from the local GI snack bar says "Excuse me" and walks past the cops to the door of the "armed and dangerous" hostage taker, passes the pizza into the room, collects money and leaves, saying "Excuse me" again to the cops on the way out." Yes, a military career in the old days was fun. The rest of the story was even better, but if I told it I wouldn't be Anonymous.

  5. Say what you will about Amazon, but nobody else will even THINK about delivering on a Sunday, and they do it all the time.
