It appears there may be hope for that asshole dog Ralphie after all
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - A rowdy dog, who has gained internet fame for being adopted and then returned to a shelter three times, is starting to make improvements with training.
The Niagara SPCA in New York said Ralphie, a Frenchie, is starting to behave after spending weeks in training.
It's more likely that the new trainer is a sane person. Seriously, fucked up people make fucked up dogs. That whole 'you can tell a lot about a man by looking at his dog' thingy.
If you don't establish yourself as the Alpha immediately, you will probably never be able to do so, and the dog will be running the show. I have gotten along fine with several dogs that were a problem for most people. You need to be be loving and caring to them, but also firm with them. They are like children in that they don't behave well if you are inconsistent in your expectations and discipline.
I wonder what kinda of drugs the vets are employing.
