TN Governor’s Office Opposes ‘True Constitutional Carry’ Bill that Allegedly Passed in 2021

A bill currently before the state legislature, being referred to as “true constitutional carry,” is actively being opposed by representatives of Governor Bill Lee’s office, even though his constitutional carry legislation was supposedly passed into law in 2021.

  1. "Allegedly passed in 2021" is true because what we got was "Permitless Carry" with most of the restrictions still in place. (There was a "True Constitutional Carry" bill in the hopper, but the Legislative "leadership" passed Permitless Carry, because "that's what the Governor wanted."

And this is what happened when SB1503 met the committee last week:

If SB1503/HB1003 fails in committee, Tennessee might find itself in a unique situation: Having the RKBA be both a Constitutional right and a criminal offense. I would love to see Constitutional Carry come to Tennessee as the result of a court order. (like the 18-20 year old carry agreement).

I'm getting tired of these RINO chickenshit sonsabitches killing good 2A laws in committee. In the meantime, fuck 'em; I'll carry how, when and where I see fit. "Urban youth" down in the hood carry that way, why can't I?
