Yet another senseless workplace injury

OAKLAND, Calif. - A Vacaville man was killed while allegedly stealing a catalytic converter in Oakland, according to police and media reports.

  1. Well at least the converter and car were intact. FAFO was riding shotgun... and in a Prius no less!

  2. A senseless death indeed. But things are changing though, especially here in Colorado. With the state government now offering a grant to victims of catalytic converters thefts we can expect those same lefty politicians to soon remove the middle man, the victim, and giving grants directly to their favorite voters: criminals.

  3. Apparently his employer had multiple workplace safety violations which caused the incident.

  4. Elect me and you'll read about CV deaths every day. This crime should be punishable by death within 24 hours. Buyers of stolen CVs would all be rounded up and dealt with on day one.

  5. From the article:
"The converter was still intact, police said."

    Anyway...

  6. Well if we all had EVs the lure of catalytic converters for poor disenfranchised victims of capitalism wouldn't exist. How about the liberal authorities post those red circles with a red slash through an evil catalytic converter all over their cities and that would end the liberation of the deadly devices.

  7. Oakland police said that on March 10 about 3 a.m., he was found underneath a car "committing a crime at the time of their death"

Is (1) the Oakland police spokesman an idiot who doesn't know the difference between singular and plural pronouns, or (2) did Eric Chabot have a "My pronouns are they/them" name tag?

    I'm going with number 1.

    2. Then you may've known the Stewart brothers. One was already there and the other joined about '72 and drove a Pantera. How about Paul Carlisle? Ended up in a wheel chair chair 'cause he didn't wait to get backed up. Happened at Doggie Diner.

  8. OSHA billboard reads: "0 Days since last Vacaville accident."

  9. Dear illiterate “journalists “: carjack is a verb. Car + jack describes the tool that failed (due to improper use, probably).

  10. "Anyone with information should call the OPD Criminal Investigations Division at (510)238-3326." When they stop laughing

  12. Somebody had neighbors who had cats stolen. Somebody shot someone in the leg, and waited to call 911.

  13. Well, the goblin got his addiction (and any other mental problems) completely and permanently cured. No sympathy for the thief or his family.
