That there was an MLK road in Chico surprised me. It's a college town that's always had a party reputation. I've always considered it to be pretty much lily white. But it's been several years since I've had much to do with the place. Things could have changed a lot.
Used to be that butchers might hang meat to let it age, not plastic-wrap it. Ain't buyin' no (long)pork at that store. Actually, they had to capture a bear in that parking lot some years back. Maybe somebody was gonna hunt over bait. More meat in a bear than a human.
They named Martin Lucifer King streets as a warning for white people to avoid those areas, unless one is looking for drugs. Not anonymous, but MUFFLERKING!!.
Anybody we know?
ReplyDeleteI went to school with the guy. He was an asshole. The P.D. did make an arrest already.
DeleteThis says a lot "Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway"....
ReplyDeleteSeems to be any street named that is a magnet for crime.
