DoD’s highest-ranking trans official: ‘Ostracizing anybody’ will hurt military readiness

Shawn Skelly was a Navy commander working to help fend off roadside bomb attacks when she came to a realization about herself — one that meant her career in the military was over.

It was 2006, and “don’t ask, don’t tell,” which permitted gay and lesbian Americans to serve in the military as long as they kept their sexual identity under wraps, was still in effect. Skelly had identified as a man up until that point and — now that she felt she could no longer do so — decided to retire from military service as soon as possible.

No wonder the US is a laughingstock any more.

  1. I always wonder about the nuts and bolts, so to speak. Does she still shave every morning? Was the "equipment" removed and replaced or does she still have the whole enchilada like that trans swimmer guy/gal? You can always do dress up but the day-in, day-out must get exhausting.

But this makes our military stronger, don't you know? Every American soldier wants a guy turned woman watching his back. The chinese and russians don't have that.

  4. I never understood the whole concept. If you're a guy and really 'like' other guys, if you turn yourself into a girl, do you really think straight guys will fall for you? Other gay guys will not want you - they still want a guy! Perversion is really beyond comprehension for me.

  5. Mockery of femininity. Hatred and jealousy.
Just like a guy using a falsetto, girly voice and mannerisms to tease a buddy about being a pussy. But twisted and personal.

  6. It’s more than a perversion. It’s like the girl with bulimia. You can’t understand why she can’t see she looks like a auswitch survivor.
And playing along with her delusion is only going to hurt her more,
These people aren’t only mentally I’ll, they’re unstable. And prone to violence.
Even agreeing with them makes them violent.

  7. You read this
"Shawn Skelly was a Navy commander working to help fend off roadside bomb attacks ", and think "EOD, SEABEES, SEALs, Hurt Locker kind of stuff". Then you think....."What is an O-5 doing out defusing roadside bombs?" And then you read "Skelly, then stationed at a Marine Corps base in Virginia, told her commanding general she was out........Skelly’s commanding general asked her to delay for six months so she could fill in as his director of operations." He spent most of his career as a Navy Flight Officer. Now I am not casting any aspersions on the job, you have to be brave to be up in those planes. But it is not like he was sleeping in a hole, eating MREs and getting shot at every day. The way that first sentence makes it sound.

  8. And then one day, for no reason at all…

  9. "As assistant secretary of defense for readiness, Skelly oversees military preparedness for warfighting, including training programs, equipment safety and munitions supplies."

You will notice that all of these things are at all time lows despite having the world's greatest tranny logistician on the job.

"Skelly has a message for Republicans accusing the Department of Defense of promoting diversity and inclusion in the armed forces at the expense of military readiness: their campaign is what’s hurting the military’s warfighting capabilities."

Oh really, so there is no correlation at all between the wokest military every fielded by this country and the shocking decline in power, capability, and competence since those policies were put into place?

“If you want to be ready, then you have to ensure that everybody that is in your force can be their best selves and contribute as a member of a team and be seen as valuable,”

Actually we won World War 2 decisively with a military that was highly intolerant of deviants, was racially segregated, and only allowed women to serve in an auxiliary corps. We don't need you, go home and work on your makeup.

    2. “We” didn’t “win” either war.
WWI-America officially got in the war in 1917 and helped fight a Germany that had been engaged in a soul-crushing war for three years. After providing food, weapons, ammunition, ships, factory workers, etc. to England and France for almost three years.
In the second war, the United States again did things that neutral countries don’t do, such as supplying ships, aircraft, tanks, trucks, weapons, ammunition, food, etc to belligerent nations. Once Lend-Lease started to the Soviet Union (11 MAR 1941-while Germany and the Soviets were at peace…hmmmmm), the Soviets began to receive more war materiel and technical advisors than the British did.
When the United States invaded France in June 1944, they again faced a German that was bled white fighting the communists for three years.
After saving Josef Stalin and the Soviet Union (one of, if not the worst mass murderer in history,) were the Soviets a good and faithful ally? No, the US and USSR then fought a fifty-year Cold War.
History is never as black and white as is shown on TV, and the victors do write the history books. Which tell us, coincidentally, that it was the good guys that always won.

  10. Military Readiness? The military has not been capable for at least 15 or more years. Upper management problems.

    1. Military readiness... hahaha...

Yep, it's all waste, nepotism, incompetence, diversity hires, psychopaths, nutcases, and corruption. It's like the Roman legions near the total collapse of the empire; anyone and everyone is welcome while the prestige of the position is muddied up. Glad I got out when I did, one round of mistreatment is enough for me.
