What business doesn't total up their cash registers on a regular basis?

  4. $50K over 6 mo is less than $10K/month. A fast food franchise can turn over $100K in a week, a good one even more. He didnt cover his tracks well.

  5. Franchise owner has likely been short counting profits to corporate so they don't have to pay the full franchise fee, now this extra money shows up and an accounting team from corporate will also show up.

  6. I had a manager at a movie theatre 20 some years ago that took about $50k before getting caught, she was the money counter upstairs and was skimming out of everyones drawer but to a small enough extent to not raise flags (we were allowed a 1 or 2 % margin of error that some didnt need)
