KINGSLAND, Ga. — A man accused of robbery was shot eight times by a convenience store clerk in southeastern Georgia after he led police on a five-county chase that began in Florida, authorities said.

Yep! Eight shots sounds good, but the clerk must have been shooting .22 Shorts. Good enough, but I would not want my life to depend on whatever the clerk was carrying.
It was also noted, in the piss poor article, that aid was rendered at the scene which contributed to the bad outcome. EMS should carry Chinese Fentenyl to administer as an analgesic.
Reminds me of the Granny who had to shoot a bad guy she emptied the pistol, and in court she was asked she shot him 7 times , she replied Because the eight time I pulled the trigger the gun just went click!
Look here: When Qwinntavus Kwame Jordan (his real name, by the way), robs the store where you're working, steals your car, then crashes it into the front of the store, gets out and comes in again to start chasing you around the store with a gun, you bet YOUR sweet ass you keeping shooting until you are completely sure that HIS ass is STAYING down. Even eight shots didn't kill him. The Meth is strong in this one.
Qwinntavus needs to get his priorities straight after he heals up. First rule of evading the police: Once you're in a new get-away car, don't go back and mess with the car's owner.
Good thing he was shot by a civilian and not by law enforcement, since the Sheriff called the perp a "dirtbag." Absolutely correct, but there would be racist motives attributed to the shooting if done by a cop. The dirtbag had the keys to new getaway car, but chose to return, ram the car into the store, and go after the clerk and customer, who were attempting to hide. He deserved to absorb the entire magazine of the clerk's gun - just too bad that the clerk either had weak ammo or poor aim.
A at 5:09 - Indeed. As stated by Sir Robert Peel in his Principles of Policing (c. 1830):
To maintain at all times a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and that the public are the police, the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence."
from the press-release: * Sheriff Rick Staly, discussing the culprit: “I also commend the Georgia store clerk that put a swift end to this dirtbag's crime spree...If he survives his injuries, he should spend a long time in prison.” . I think 'this dirtbag' should spend a lot of time swinging from a noose, but undoubtedly, somebody will have a problem with my suggestion.

8 times! Cool. Still breathing? Need to work on that shot placement.
ReplyDeleteAnything worth shooting should be shot until it changes shape or catches fire...or something like that.

A wise option: When in doubt empty the magazine.
ReplyDeleteWas the clerk shooting a BB gun? Too many perps are still sucking air.

DeleteThe clerk gave the asshole a lot of opportunity to not get shot.

ReplyDeleteCop: I can't shoot him. Gives gun to convenience store clerk.
ReplyDeleteCop: Let er rip

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the clerk had a S&W 908, mag only holds 8. They need to carry a second mag.

We should be so lucky if ANY police agency would even slightly follow the Principles as laid out by Sir Peel.
