A British housing association apologized after discovering a tenant’s body in his home possibly six years after he died.
"Everyone at Bolton at Home has been deeply shocked by this, and we realize it will concern and upset people to learn his body remained undiscovered for such a long time," Noel Sharpe, chief executive of Bolton At Home, said in a statement.

Who was paying the rent or utilities? No one noticed lack of use of utilities? Neighbors didn't notice no one coming or going or lights never on at that apt? No one noticed no activity on his bank or welfare accounts?
I think some did notice but no one cared. That includes, especially, managers at various agencies. It's easy to hide (or die) in plain sight where no one gives a shit.
The article mentioned that automatic withdraws were made from an account that received automatic deposits from some sort of housing assistance. No humans involved...
